Maxi, a prominent Italian sugar trading company, celebrated its 50th anniversary in style, honoring a legacy that spans half a century and represents one-third of Italy’s sugar trade. To mark this milestone, Maxi organized an unforgettable weekend of events, with their esteemed partner, Südzucker, joining in the celebration.
The festivities began on Friday with a picturesque aperitivo by the water. Guests then enjoyed dinner at Trattoria Alla Madonna, a beloved Venetian restaurant known for its traditional local dishes.
On Saturday, the celebration continued with a distinctive wine-tasting experience on Sant’Erasmo, featuring one of only two wines produced in the Venetian lagoon. Following the tasting, guests gathered for a luncheon at Salso on Certosa Island, where they were treated to speeches from the leaders of both Maxi and Südzucker, as well as a special address by Italian politician Maurizio Leo. This weekend honored Maxi’s achievements and celebrated the partnership and shared vision that have helped define its success.

The festivities commenced with an intimate dinner held atop the enchanting rooftop of Hotel Danieli. The following day brought an engaging treasure hunt, guiding participants through the labyrinthine streets of Venice from a uniquely local perspective.
